Americans Announce 2017-2018 Home Schedule

Allen Americans News Release
Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans, two-time Kelly Cup Champions and ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced their 2017-2018 home schedule today, which will begin on October 21st.
The Americans open the home portion of their schedule on Saturday, October 21st against the Orlando SolarBears. This will be Orlando's first ever visit to Allen Event Center and the only team from the Eastern Conference that will come to Allen this coming season.
Other big home dates include the pre-Halloween game on Sunday, October 29th against Tulsa. Allen will also be home right before and after Christmas, with Tulsa returning on Saturday, December 23rd and then a Wednesday, December 27th matchup against the Wichita Thunder.
The Americans close out 2017 with the traditional New Years Eve Game on Sunday, December 21st again, against the rival Thunder.
Back for a 9th season in a row is the annual MLK Kids Day Game on Monday, January 15th against the Tulsa Oilers.
There are just four home games in the month of February, both against a division rival. The Colorado Eagles visit Allen on February 1st and 2nd and the Utah Grizzlies come to town on February 16th and 17th.
For the first time in a long time, the Americans will close out the regular season at home on April 6th and 7th against the Idaho Steelheads.
The Americans will play the most home games in the months of December and March, with 8 home games both months. The club will have the majority of their home games on the weekends with 11 Saturdays, 10 Fridays and 5 Sunday afternoon games.
