Shreveport-Bossier used early offense and a quality start from Luke Massetti to top Ft. Worth by a score of 5-2. The Captains manufactured two runs in both the second and third innings, capitalizing on two Cats errors, using two sacrifices, and adding three hits to gain a 4-0 advantage. Meanwhile Massetti retired six of the first seven Ft. Worth hitters and went on to complete seven innings of work for his sixth win of the year. He struck out two and allowed six hits and one earned run. 3B Andres Rodriguez led the Captains at the plate with two hits and two runs scored.

Wichita 7, Sioux Falls 0

Wichita broke out to an early lead and never looked back in a 7-0 win over Sioux Falls. Already ahead 1-0 in the second inning, the Wingnuts scored three more times, highlighted by CF Nick Blasi's two-run homer, and watched their pitching staff lock the game down. Brad Davis tossed the first five frames for Wichita before a trio of relievers kept the shutout intact. Davis was the winner and is now 6-5 on the year. Sioux Falls SS Tim Hutting went 2-for-2 in the contest and drew three walks in a losing effort.

Pensacola 6, Sioux City 0

Pensacola starter Dane DeValk went right through the Sioux City Explorers as he pitched a complete game shutout to give the Pelicans a 6-0 road win. DeValk struck out eight and allowed just four hits and one walk to improve his record to 4-2 on the year. The top of the Pelicans order sparked the offense as Pensacola scored four times in the second inning to give DeValk some breathing room. 2B Antoin Gray went 2-for-5 in the game and CF Francisco Leandro finished 3-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI.

St. Paul 4, Lincoln 3

In a game that saw 20 strikeouts between the teams, St. Paul managed just enough offense to hold off Lincoln by a 4-3 final. The Saints grabbed a 4-2 lead when they scored twice in the bottom of the sixth inning and their bullpen took care of the rest. Kyle Foster and Ryan Ariail worked the final 3 1/3 innings to seal the victory as Foster struck out four and Ariail one to earn them the win and the save, respectively. Lincoln LF Deacon Burns led all hitters with three hits in the contest.
