The crowd on hand at Sioux Falls saw plenty of free baseball as it took the Saints and Canaries 13 innings to decide the outcome, a 5-4 St. Paul victory. A sacrifice fly off the bat of Saints SS Ryan Priddy scored 3B Ben Thomas from third base to give St. Paul the win and run their record back to .500 at 12-12. Thomas led the way offensively, going 3-for-6. Sioux Falls RF Ben Van Iderstine had a good game at the plate, going 4-for-6 with a pair of runs scored and an RBI in the losing effort. St. Paul reliever John Wesley allowed one hit and fanned three in three scoreless innings to earn the win and improved to 2-0 in the process.

Sioux City 9, Wichita 8

The Sioux City Explorers got a huge performance from 1B Walter Young to lead them to a 9-8 victory over the Wichita Wignuts. Young finished the game 3-for-5 with two singles, a home run and seven RBI. Explorers reliever Ty Marotz allowed two runs on five hits in 2 2/3 innings, but came away with the win to run his mark to 2-3 this season. Sioux City got good production from the top of the order as CF Dustin Jones and RF Jason Tuttle combined to go 5-for-10 and score five runs.

Fort Worth 5, Pensacola 0

The Fort Worth Cats got a great outing from starting pitcher Pedro Flores to help blank Pensacola and improve the Cats to 14-9 in the second half. Flores allowed six hits and fanned four in eight scoreless innings to run his mark to 10-2 this season. Fort Worth C Osiel Flores led the way offensively, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Cats 1B Nilson Teilon was also 2-for-3 and drove in a run. CF Francisco Leandro was the only batter for the Pelicans to record more than one hit. He was 2-for-3 in the losing effort.
