Lincoln plated two runs in the top of the 11th inning to claim a 3-1 win over Wichita and force a decisive fifth game in the North Division Finals. 1B Phil Hawke broke the 1-1 tie as he doubled to drive in CF Josh Burrus and DH Argelis Nunez added a RBI single later in the frame for the margin of victory. The game featured fine pitching performances from both starters as Wichita's Gabe Medina and Lincoln's Justin Knoff each allowed just a single run in nine innings of work. After a sacrifice fly by Wichita LF Greg Porter in the bottom of the third gave the Wingnuts a 1-0 lead, Lincoln answered with a RBI single from SS Albenis Machado in the top of the sixth. Despite being out hit 10-3 in the contest Wichita was in position to win the series when 3B Michael Thompson led off the bottom of the ninth with a double. He was still at second base when the inning ended. After Lincoln took the lead, Saltdogs closer Chris Thompson retired the Wingnuts 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 11th for his second save of the playoffs.
