Amarillo, TX 9/13/11- The Amarillo Venom are hitting the road this week to visit the winners of the favorite local football team and cheer squad the Fighting Irish of Stinnett and the Spearman Lynx.
"The contest was held on our new Facebook page and we had a huge response, a lot of votes coming in from the surrounding areas," said Owner/GM Stephanie Tucker. "It's great to see the smaller communities taking part and showing off their school pride!"
The Amarillo Venom will be visiting the TCY Fighting Irish of Stinnett football practice on Thursday, September 15. This group of 5th and 6th graders had an overwhelming response of votes from family, friends, and town supporters. Their practice begins at 6 pm off Ranch Rd. 2277; the players will be available for autographs, pictures, and a pep talk for the team.
Players from the Amarillo Venom will also be visiting the Spearman Lynx cheer squad on Friday, September 16 for their Pep-Rally at 2:30. The pep-rally is being held on the football field. The players will be giving a pep-talk, signing autographs, taking pictures, and giving away prizes.
The Amarillo Venom encourages fans in the surrounding areas to come by and show your support for the winners of our favorite local football team and cheer squad.
