Streaks: Dusters L4, Talons L1
Coaches: David Alexander, Tulsa Talons
Steve Perdue, Amarillo Dusters

THE STAKES: The Dusters are clinging to their playoff life-line, but basically control their own destiny over the final 5 weeks of the season. 4 of the Dusters' final 5 opponents are in the National Conference. The Dusters must capture a win in order to stay alive in the playoff race. The Talons look to bounce-back from last week's disappointing home loss to the Manchester Wolves (59-24). The Talons are currently tied for 2nd place in the Midwest Division with a 7-4 record.

COACH PERDUE'S THOUGHTS ON TULSA:
"All we can do is go to war on Saturday night. I've not given up on this team, and I know that they haven't quit on themselves either. Yes, we've been decimated with injuries, but it's part of football. Our number two's have to step up and accept the challenge in front of them. Our fans deserve a 110% effort, and that's what they'll get on Saturday night. We played two very physical games with the Talons last year, and I'd expect nothing less Saturday night. They have talented players, and we have talented players. They need the win, and it's do or die for us. We'll go toe to toe and see what happens."

MINGO MANIA:
Dusters DS Terrell Mingo has made quite an impact in his first season in af2. He currently leads the Dusters in tackles (50), Interceptions (6), and pass break-ups (12). At 6'2, Mingo is one of the tallest cornerbacks in the league. He also boasts an impressive 40-inch vertical leap.

KEY MATCHUP: CHAD RUFFIN VS. KERT TURNER
One of the best noseguards in the af2 will be taking on one of the best centers in the league on Saturday night. Chad Ruffin (#99) has been a force at NG for the Talons, racking up 2 sacks, 2 tackles for loss, 1 forced fumble, and 12 quarterback hurries thus far through 9 games. At 6'0, 290 lbs, Ruffin packs a powerful punch and maintains a low center of gravity. His counterpart for most of the night will be Dusters' Center Kert Turner (#72). The 6'4, 310 lb Turner has not allowed a sack this season, and has dominated his opposition this season. Defensively, Turner has been an explosive pass rusher with 5 sacks and 5 batted balls as well.
