
Altitude Host Inaugural Mountain Hoops Tip-off

Asheville, NC., November 26, 2003 - The Asheville Altitude will take center stage as they host the Inaugural Mountain Hoops Tip-off, Sunday, November 30, beginning at 1:00 PM at the Asheville Civic Center. The tip-off, highlighted by a pre-game double header by the men and women's basketball teams of UNC-Asheville, concludes with an exciting NBDL home opening match-up as the Altitude takes on the Huntsville Flight.
The Mountain Hoops Tip-off features three games for the price of one, beginning with the Lady Bulldogs in a match-up against the Lady Tigers of Tennessee State University. The men will follow, facing the UNC-Charlotte 49ers, beginning at 3:15 PM.
The Asheville Altitude tips off their home opener against the Flight beginning at 6:15 PM.
"The Asheville Altitude is thrilled to participate with the UNC-Asheville men and women's basketball team in presenting the Inaugural Mountain Hoops Tip-off," said Team President, Alfred White. "This is a good opportunity for our community to close out the Thanksgiving weekend with a day of non-stop basketball action."
Fans can purchase a ticket for all three games by calling the Asheville Altitude at (828) 782-1004 or visiting the Altitude or Civic Center Box Offices or online at Ticketmaster.com. Tickets are available in the upper and lower bowl seating sections and prices range from $9, $15, $30, and $35. Discounts are available for groups of 15 or more and children.
