Alliance of American Football Names Week Four Players of the Week

March 5, 2019 - Alliance of American Football (AAF) News Release

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Following a weekend filled with close games and exciting finishes, The Alliance of American Football names week four players of the week.

Offensive player of the week: San Antonio RB Kenneth Farrow II. Farrow rushed 30 times for 142 yards (4.7 yards per carry) in the Commanders' 12-11 win over Birmingham in week four. Farrow's 142 rushing yards set an Alliance single-game record and came against the Iron's stout run defense, which ranked second in the league entering week four.

Defensive player of the week: Memphis LB Drew Jackson. Jackson led the Express with 14 tackles, including four tackles for loss, and had one sack, one interception and four passes defensed in Memphis' first win of the season last week. Jackson became the first player in Alliance history with at least 10 tackles, one sack and one interception in a single game.

Special teams player of the week: Memphis K Austin MacGinnis. After being signed to the team mid-week, MacGinnis converted on all four of his field goal attempts (46, 40, 35, 45), including the 45-yard game-winning field goal with 2:42 remaining in the fourth quarter to give the Express a 26-23 victory over San Diego.
