Anderson, IN. To help tip-off the first season, the Indiana Alley Cats, coached by Greg Graham, former IU and 5-year NBA player, hosted Community Day on Saturday from 630-830pm at the O.C. Lewis Arena on the campus of Anderson University. Admission was free. Among other activities, including ticket giveaways and the opportunity to pick up Alley Cats' merchandise, fans had a chance to watch the Alley Cats practice prior to their trip to Pittsburgh for the season opening game on Sunday night.

The 2005-2006 Alley Cats will feature former Purdue, three-time Big Ten Championship and 8-year overseas player Brandon Brantley, former Ball State and 12-year overseas player Chandler Thompson, and former Ball State player Steve Turner. The Indiana Alley Cats will begin their home season on Sunday, November 6th at the O.C. Lewis Arena.

"The support from the City of Anderson and surrounding areas as well as from Anderson University and the students has been remarkable," stated Rob Blackwell, Alley Cats co-owner. "Our decision to play in Anderson was a good one and we are looking forward to a great season."
