ALLEN, Texas - The Allen Wranglers general manager and legendary Dallas Cowboy wide receiver Drew Pearson will be inducted into the Ring of Honor.

"Being inducted into the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor is the highlight of my career," said Pearson. "It is an incredible honor to go up alongside the greats of this great organization."

"The players and staff of the Allen Wranglers could not be more proud to have our GM, Drew Pearson, join the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor," said Blake Beidleman, VP sales and operations. "It is such an honor to work with such a legendary figure in football history."

The Cowboys will induct Pearson, along with Charles Haley and Larry Allen at their November 6 game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Pearson, 59, played at the University of Tulsa before being selected as a free agent by the Dallas Cowboys in 1973. As a Cowboy, Pearson recorded 489 receptions, 7,882 receiving yards and 50 touchdowns. He was elected to the NFL 1970's All-Decade team and had All-Pro selections in 1974, 1976 and 1977. Pearson led the Dallas Cowboys to three Super Bowl appearances, winning the title in 1978. Pearson is also known for catching the game-winning 50-yard touchdown pass from Roger Staubach that coined the phrase "hail mary."

Since his retirement in 1983, Pearson has worked as a sports broadcaster and chairman of Drew Pearson Marketing, Inc. He served as the head coach for the Dallas Texans arena football team in 1991 where he led the team to a 4-6 record. Pearson also served as general manager of the New York/New Jersey Hitmen during the XFL's lone season in 2001.
