Allen Wranglers News Release
ALLEN, TX- In another classic football rivalry between Texas and Oklahoma, the Bricktown Brawlers are itching to get even with their Texas rival.
U.S. Congressman Sam Johnson will deliver the ball Friday, March 25th as the Wranglers take on the Brawlers; this will be the second of seven home games for the Wranglers.
"We want to thank all the people who make the North Texas community what it is today," Wrangler vice president John Harris said.
The Wranglers are coming off of a 37-55 loss to the Fairbanks Grizzlies in Fairbanks; the Bricktown Brawlers defeated the West Texas Roughnecks 31-27 last week. This will be the second meeting between the Wranglers and the Brawlers after the 39-36 Wrangler win in Oklahoma City on March 6th. Wrangler defensive coordinator Quinn Cairo expects a good game.
"Oklahoma City will be a team on a mission to avenge their first meeting with us," he said. "We expect a focused group who will stretch the field with long passes and keep us honest with their solid run game."
Friday's festivities will begin with a pre-game party at Dodie's prior to kick-off. Once inside, fans can enter to win a contest for a Harley Davidson motorcycle, play Wrangler bingo, participate in the Dodie's wing challenge and get autographs from Wrangler personnel. Kickoff is set for 7:35 p.m. at Allen Event Center.
