Allan Carr of Huntsville is SEHL Rookie of the Year

The Huntsville Channel Cats Allan Carr has been named the 2003-2004 South East Hockey League Rookie of the Year. He was selected by a vote of the SEHL head coaches; team front office personnel, and media representatives from each of the four league cities.

The twenty-six year-old native of Merlin, Ontario compiled an impressive list of statistics in his first professional season. Carr joined the Channel Cats this year following two years at the University of Nebraska-Omaha and parts of two years playing junior hockey in the OHL. Allan Carr led the SEHL in goals scored (56), game winning goals (12), and plus / minus with an impressive +35 rating. He was second in the league in scoring (111 points) and assists (55). Carr was also tied for most power play goals with Knoxville's K. J. Voorhees (20) and tied for most short handed goals with Knoxville's Todd MacIsaac (4). Allan Carr also led the South East Hockey League in shooting percentage at 22.5% (56 goals on 249 shots).
