All Decade Team 2004-2013

Dustin Bixler #3: The clubs all-time leader in minutes played with 10,708; over 2,000 more than the next closest player. He is 2nd in games played with 122. Dustin was 1st team All-League in 2009 and 2010, and 2nd team All-League in 2008. He was also named the Championship game MVP in 2007 when the Islanders captured the USL 2 title. Team Captain from 2008-2012

Anthony Calvano #23: Started 89 games for the Islanders at right back, and has played 8,509 minutes, 3rd all-time with the Islanders.

Shane Crawford #23: Only played in 2005 but made an immediate impact scoring 3 goals from left back and being named 1st team all-league.

Steve Fisher #2: He is 3rd all-time in games played with 103, 2nd in points with 49, tied for 2nd in goals with 16, 2nd in assists with 17 and 2nd in shots with 126. He scored the clubs first ever goal, along with the clubs first ever home goal. Has scored some of the biggest goals in the clubs history including the game winner in the 1-0 over D.C. United in open cup play, and the overtime winner against Cleveland in the 2007 USL 2 semi-finals.

Matt Nelson #22: Led team to 2007 USL 2 Championship with single season best 0.61 goals against average. Second all-time in shutouts with 10 despite only playing in 18 games. Was named 2nd team all-league.

Mo Odour #19: He is 5th all-time in games played with 90, 5th in minutes played with 6,138, tied for 4th in points with 40, and tied for 2nd in goals scored with 16. Led the 2007 champs in goals scored and points, and was named 2nd team All-League. Team Captain in 2008-2010.

Jason Pelletier #22: He is 4th all-time in games played with 101, and minutes played with 7835, and assists with 11. Team Captain in 2012.

Derek Potteiger #21: Started 48 games and played over 4000 minutes scoring 5 goals with 3 assists. Was named 1st team all-league in 2004, and scored the game winning playoff goal against Charlotte in 2005.Was the clubs 1st Team Captain and was in that role from 2004-2006.

Chad Severs #20: The team's all-time leader in goals (29) and points (66). Set the standard in 2005 with 13 goals and 31 points. Named 2005 rookie of the year and to the all-league 2nd team. In 2009, he was named 2nd team all-league once again.

Tiyi Shipalane #12: Was 2nd on the team in scoring in 2009 with 6 goals, 6 assists and 18 points. Was named to the all-league 1st team and rookie of the year. 1st Islanders player to go to the MLS.

Tim Velten #6: Played on the 2007 Championship team and again in 2009. Started 38 of the 40 games here with the Islanders, scored one goal but it was a big one, a 90th minute volley to beat Charlotte 4-3 at home.

Honorable Mentions: Goalkeeper Dave Kern, Defencers: Ryan Pierce and Geoff Bloes, and Forwards: Matt Tanzini, Brian Ombiji, David Schofield, and Sainey Touray.
