Alex Sahlen Returns to the Flash

Elma, N.Y. (Friday, March 22, 2013) - The Western New York Flash of the National Women's Soccer League has officially announced the signing of defender Alex Sahlen. A returning member of the Flash, Sahlen has signed to play with the club for the 2013 NWSL season.
Sahlen, Williamsville, N.Y. native has been with the team since 2009 and has helped lead the Flash to three different championships. In 2010, the Buffalo Flash won the W-League Championship. In its inaugural WPS season, the WNY Flash earned both the regular season title and the WPS Championship. The team went on to win the WPSL Elite Championship in 2012. Sahlen was a part of all three championship teams.
