Albany Legends Sign Troy Product Emanuel Mayben

Albany, New York - The IBL's Albany Legends have announced today that area standout Emanuel Mayben will be joining the team for the 2011 campaign. Emanuel, a resident of Troy, NY, will be joining the Legends as they compete for the 2011 Championship in the International Basketball League.
Mayben is a graduate of Troy HS. He has been a part of UMASS (2005-2007) and also Binghamton (2008-09) competing in Division I play and receiving All Conference America East 2nd Team honors in 2009. He also was instrumental in bringing the Hudson Valley Community College Basketball team to National Recognition and Notoriety as a member of Andre Cook's NJCAA Squad in 2007-08.
In addition to our focus of providing affordable, quality professional basketball entertainment and working to benefit local community groups, the Albany Legends are proud of our commitment to provide opportunities and assist young men in continuing their basketball careers. In 2010, the Legends sent seven veteran players to five continents to continue their professional dreams in Europe, Asia (Japan), Africa, North and South America.

Emanuel is focused on his future and has surrounded himself with solid community and basketball people in our region who believe in him. In addition, very few athletes have the natural ability that Emanuel possesses so he will be very exciting to watch." said Steve Miller, Legends President.
Emanuel's former AAU City Rock's coach Jim Hart remarked that "Emanuel begins a new chapter in his life today and I am very proud and happy for him. It goes without saying that he understands positional play and has a sense and ability for the game which is better than many players at his age and level. He is wise beyond his years in terms of his basketball knowledge, and it will show to the fans of Albany. He is focused on the opportunity in front of him, on and off the court and on doing what he does best."
