Albany Legends Re-Sign Scotty McRae

Albany, New York ‚¬" The Albany Legends added to their front court this afternoon, agreeing to a contract from Edmund "Scotty" McRae, a 6'8, 230 lbs. Power Forward who recently played at the University at Albany ('08-'10) and in five games with the 2010 IBL Champion Legends where he averaged 9+ ppg, 6.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists.

McRae, a native of Queens, NY, averaged 5.9 ppg and 4.9 rpg in his senior season as a Great Dane, as well as being one of the team leaders in blocked shots.

"Scotty's length, athleticism and rebounding ability are the best assets that he will bring to this team." Head Coach Ben Smith states. "Bringing him back to the area to compete in front of the fans he has garnered over the past 2 years will be something special for all of us."

When asked about the signing, McRae commented, "I am just so excited to be back with the team, and I'm eager to get back to the success of last season." McRae joined the Legends last year on April 28th after the team released the 6'10" Nakiea Miller (Iona) at the mid way point for the season.
