Albany FireWolves Student-Athletes of the Week (Week of April 1): Presented by Dave & Buster's - Albany

Albany, NY - The Albany FireWolves are excited to name the High School Student-Athletes of the Week presented by Dave & Buster's - Albany for the week of April 1. These two student-athletes have shown their commitment to athletics, to their community, and to working hard in the classroom.

These student-athletes will receive a prize pack courtesy of Dave & Buster's - Albany and tickets to an upcoming Albany FireWolves game. The student-athletes will be honored during the FireWolves' next home game on Saturday, April 6 for their accomplishments on and off the field.

The Albany FireWolves Student-Athletes of the Week for the Week of April 1 are Dillon Licht from Niskayuna High School and Hannah Crowther from Mohonasen High School.

Dillon Licht - Niskayuna High School - Junior - Boy's Lacrosse

Dillon Licht is one of the area's premier midfielders. He has been a contributor to the varsity program since he was in 8th grade, and he works tirelessly to continue growing as an athlete and student. Dillon recently committed to play his college lacrosse at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Dillon has been a counselor for the Niskayuna Lacrosse Club's Summer Camp since he was in middle school, and he recently completed his Bronze Level Certification for US Lacrosse so that he can continue working to help young athletes in his community.

Hannah Crowther- Mohonasen High School - Senior - Girl's Lacrosse

Hannah has been in the soccer program for 6 years and the Schenectady-Mohonasen lacrosse program for 4 years. Hannah is also the team manager for the Mohonasen wrestling program. Hannah has helped coach both youth lacrosse and soccer over her time in high school. Hannah tore her ACL her junior year playing soccer and could not play sports for 9 months. During this time, she was a coach for the girls Modified Soccer Team and the girl's youth lacrosse program. Hannah is a two-year Captain for the team and in her sophomore year Hannah won the Coaches Award for lacrosse. Hannah has held a 4.0 average throughout High School and has volunteered in the Writing Center. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Science Honor Society. Hannah is also an Ambassador for Morgan's Message, which provides a safe space for peers to discuss their own mental health. Hannah will be attending college in the fall to study Athletic Training and play lacrosse.

Congratulations to Dillon and Hannah! The FireWolves wish them continued success in the classroom and on the field this spring sports season. The FireWolves and Dave & Buster's -Albany are proud to be a part of the Capital Region community and support youth and high school athletics throughout the area. More winners will be chosen each week during the high school spring sports season.
