Alabama Hammers News Release

The Alabama Hammers (3-5) have signed Keon Lattimore for the remainder of the 2015 PIFL season where he's expected to play the position known as "Jack Linebacker". Lattimore, 30, is the younger brother of Ray Lewis who is regarded as one of the best linebackers in NFL history playing 17 years in the NFL.

Lattimore played for the University of Maryland from 2004-2007 where he was an All-ACC choice as running back. He led the Terrapins in rushing and scoring. In 2008, he signed with the NFL's Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent. He also played for both the Jacksonville Jaguars and San Francisco 49ers.

Lattimore is 5-foot-11 and weighs 230-pounds. Hammers' interim head coach Calvin Ousby is expected to have Lattimore play for the Hammers this Saturday as the team travels to face the Trenton Freedom (4-4) in the ninth game of the 2015 PIFL season. Saturday's game kicks off at 6:00 p.m. CDT.
