AFL Week 11 Power Rankings Announced

CHICAGO - The San Jose SaberCats (7-2) solidified their position at the top of the AFL Power Rankings with a 70-59 divisional victory over the previously second-ranked Utah Blaze (6-3) in Week 10.
Winners of four straight, the SaberCats travel to San Antonio in Week 11 to taken on Aaron Garcia and the fourth-ranked Talons (6-3), while the Blaze, who dropped to the five spot in the Power Rankings this week, prepare for another divisional game with potentially major playoff implications against the Arizona Rattlers (6-3). Arizona moved up from seventh to third in the Power Rankings this week following a 77-43 win over the Chicago Rush (6-3). The Rush dropped from fourth to seventh following the loss.
Despite scoring less than 60 points for the first time in 2012, the Philadelphia Soul (7-2) took down the defending ArenaBowl champs in Week 10 by a margin of 56-38. The win moves the Soul back up to second place in the Power Rankings, as they prepare for a cross-country flight to Spokane in Week 11. The Shock (4-4) moved into the top ten in the Power Rankings following a 68-62 overtime victory over the New Orleans VooDoo in Week 10.
The AFL Power Rankings are calculated on AFLFieldPass.com using vPower ¢, a scoring system based on winning percentage, strength of schedule, scoring percentage, and win-streak. The scale is normalized from 0 (lowest) to 100 (highest).
