CHICAGO - The Arena Football League and the natural energy drink FUGA have entered into a two-year partnership, the League office announced today.
FUGA, which derives its name from the Latin term "to take flight", is an energy drink made from natural energy resources that are grown out of the ground and not produced in a lab.
"We are excited about our partnership with FUGA," AFL Commissioner Jerry B. Kurz said. "The high-energy concept fits perfectly with our fast-paced and thrilling game. We have also been impressed with FUGA's community outreach initiatives, which align perfectly with our commitment to excellence on and off the field."
FUGA Energy is also the first and only energy drink partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. (R) (NBCF) with the launch of FUGA Life, a new product to be released in April 2014 created specifically for the NBCF cause to raise awareness of the importance of mammograms for the early detection and treatment of breast cancer.
"We're honored to partner with health-focused organizations like the AFL which provides us a national platform to introduce FUGA and let people know there's a healthy energy drink you can feel good about drinking," said Miguel Camarena, Co-Founder of Aquarena Beverage and Creator of FUGA Energy Drink.
Branded as the "Official Energy Drink of the Arena Football League", FUGA will receive a patch on all home jerseys and will have a presence at ArenaBowl XXVII Fan Fest.
