AFL Re-Launches Website

NEW YORK – The Arena Football League today announced the re-launch of its Web site at www.arenafootball.com. The site was "soft-launched" on New Year 's Eve and has received positive feedback from fans and critics. A full Web site for the AFL's developmental league, af2, was also launched today at www.af2.com.

The AFL site provides information on all the League's teams and players, as well as news articles, press releases, and feature stories. AFL on NBC broadcasters, including PAT HADEN, RAY BENTLEY, GLENN PARKER, CHARLES DAVIS and ELI GOLD, are regular contributors to the site, adding expert insight into the game for AFL fans. In addition to the high quality content, the site also includes many interactive features, such as message boards, games, polls, downloads, streaming media, and player Q & A's. The AFL will also be launching it first Official Fantasy Pick ‘Em Game. To assist Fantasy Game players, the site is complete with all league, team, and player statistics and standings.

During the season, fans will be able to vote for the Honda In His Element Play of the Week by accessing highlight video compiled from the previous weekend's games on NBC and registering their choices on the Web site. Each week, fans will also be able to view the ADT Defensive Play from NBC's games and the ADT Defensive Player of the Week. On the weekends, AFL fans will be able to augment their viewing experience on NBC with live broadcast interactive elements and a full schedule of live score and statistics updates online.

Arenafootball.com was designed and developed by RMG3, a leading sports industry new media professional services firm, as part of a two-year agreement with the AFL. As part of the arrangement between the AFL and RMG3, the League has access to RMG3's proprietary 1Touch™ Content Management Tool, providing the League with the ability to self-publish all media (text, photos, audio, and video) in real time on the League Web site.
