
AFL Projecting One-Millionth Fan this Weekend

TULSA, Okla. - Fifteen weeks into the 24th Arena Football League season, attendance currently sits at 931,977 fans. With 68,023 fans to go, the Arena Football League is projecting it's one-millionth of the season will hit in Week 16.
This will be the fifteenth time in the League's 24-year history to surpass the one-millionth-attendance mark in a single season. To date, the Arena Football League has seen over 25 million fans attend games throughout the country.
"We appreciate the millions of fans who have supported us over the past 24 seasons," AFL Commissioner Jerry B. Kurz said. "Hitting the one-millionth fan this season is a testament to the longevity and vivid future of the AFL."
The one-millionth fan is anticipated to plateau during the Iowa vs. Chicago match-up Sunday, June 26. The American Red Cross and Rush will partner on June 26 for the inaugural "Teddy Bear Toss benefiting the Red Cross." Fans will toss new teddy bears onto the field following the first Rush touchdown. A portion of the ticket sales will also be donated to the Red Cross.
