AFL on NBC moves to noon for weeks 5-7 and nine
March 1, 2004 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I) News Release
NEW YORK â The AFL on NBC will move to noon ET for Weeks 5-7 and Week 9. Games will return to 3 p.m. ET beginning in Week 10. The change is necessary because of NBC's coverage of the PGA's "Southern Swing."
Week 12 will feature six hours of AFL on NBC action when games air at both noon and 3 p.m. ET. It will be the AFL's first-ever network doubleheader. Games will begin at 4 p.m. ET on Week 17. Although Week 8 will feature a full slate of AFL games, none will be broadcast on NBC because of the PGA Tour's coverage of The Players Championship.
