AFL Awards Week 18 Players of the Week

LAS VEGAS - The Arena Football League has announced that Philadelphia's Dan Raudabaugh, Portland's Sergio Gilliam and Jacksonville's Joe Hills have been named as the Under Armour Offensive Player, Riddell Defensive Player and AFL Playmaker of the Week for Week 18, respectively. In addition to these awards, the AFL has awarded Orlando's Larry Brackins the Cutters Catch of the Week, while the AFL Highlight of the Week was awarded to Portland's Sergio Gilliam. UNDER ARMOUR OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Raudabaugh (6'3, 225, Miami-OH) completed 21-of-29 passes for 335 yards, 10 touchdowns and no interceptions to lead the Philadelphia Soul to a 67-59 American Conference-clinching victory over the Orlando Predators (12-4) at Amway Center on Saturday night. The 2015 AFL MVP finished the regular season connecting on 339-of-489 passes (69.3 comp. %) for 4,303 yards, 101 touchdown passes and 13 interceptions in 2016. The Soul (13-3) will host the Tampa Bay Storm on Sunday, August 7 at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN2 in the first round of the postseason.

RIDDELL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Gilliam (6'3, 190, Clemson) led the Steel defense as they defeated the Los Angeles KISS, 48-46, on Monday night at Moda Center. The six-year veteran tallied 5.0 total tackles, broke up two passes and collected two interceptions to help seal the victory. Gilliam finished the season leading the Steel with 55.0 total tackles and five interceptions, while adding 14 passes defended and a forced fumble. The Steel (3-13) travel to play the Arizona Rattlers (13-3) on Saturday, August 6 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network to begin the 2016 postseason.

AFL PLAYMAKER OF THE WEEK: Hills (6'4, 220, Tennessee State) helped lead the Jacksonville Sharks to a 54-35 victory over the Tampa Bay Storm at Veteran's Memorial Arena this past weekend. The fifth-year veteran hauled in seven receptions for 92 yards and four touchdowns. Hills finished the season leading the AFL with 161 receptions for 2,020 receiving yards, 58 touchdowns and 348 points in 2016. The Sharks (7-9) will begin the postseason by traveling to Amway Center to face the Orlando Predators (12-4) on Saturday, August 6 at 7 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.

CUTTERS CATCH OF THE WEEK: Brackins (6'5, 225, Pearl River CC) made a great assist to himself, when he tipped the football into his own hands for a touchdown catch in Saturday's 67-59 loss to the Philadelphia Soul. The eight-year veteran had a huge night hauling in 11 receptions for 114 yards and four touchdowns. In eight games this season, Brackins has made 31 receptions for 315 yards and 14 touchdowns. Brackins' catch was also the No. 6 play on SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays Saturday night.

AFL HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK: Gilliam (6'3, 190, Clemson) made a spectacular one-handed interception grab in the second quarter during the Steel's 48-46 win over the LA KISS at Moda Center. The Clemson alum tacked on another interception in the game in the third quarter while tallying 5.0 total tackles. This is the second time this season Gilliam has intercepted a quarterback twice in one game, the first time was in Week 10 against the Tampa Bay Storm.

Under Armour Offensive Player candidates included: Jacksonville's Joe Hills, Orlando's Larry Brackins and Portland's Bryson Kelly.

Riddell Defensive Player candidates included: Jacksonville's Keon Lyn, Los Angeles' Dontay Moch, Philadelphia's Tracy Belton

AFL Playmaker candidates included: Jacksonville's Tiger Jones, Los Angeles' Donovan Morgan, Orlando's Larry Brackins, and Philadelphia's Chris Duvalt.
