Affiliate Collin Peters Commits to Northern Michigan

MUSKEGON, Michigan (December 26th) - The Muskegon Lumberjacks are proud to announce that affiliate Forward Collin Peters has made his college commitment to play for the Northern Michigan University Wildcats out of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) following his junior career.

Peters, the Sheboygan, Wisconsin native, was drafted by Muskegon in the seventh-round (98th overall) during the 2013 USHL Phase One Draft and has appeared in two games this season for the Lumberjacks back on November 1st in Dubuque and November 2nd at home against Cedar Rapids.

Currently, Peters is playing for the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals Minor Midget (Under-16) Team and has totaled 33 points (21 goals and 12 assists) in 25 games played. Prior to playing in Milwaukee, Peters played two seasons of high school hockey for the Sheboygan North (Wisconsin) Red Raiders from 2011-13 recording 88 points (53 goals and 35 assists) in 50 games played.

Additionally, Peters spent the 2012 offseason playing for Wisconsin's top AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) hockey program, Team Wisconsin, accumulating 7 goals in 11 games played.

Following the league-wide two-week holiday break, the Lumberjacks will return home for the team's only Sunday home game of the season on December 29th against the Youngstown Phantoms at 5:15 pm that will feature Car Load Night. Fans can pile any number of people into one car for the low price of $40 that will include a ticket to the game along with a complimentary parking pass.

Individual game tickets will be on sale all next week for the December 29th home game for the low price of $10 for adults and $6 for children ages 3-12 if they are purchased before the day of the game. Tickets can be purchased at the Lumberjacks' Box Office or by calling (231) 724-5225.

The exclusive radio home for the Muskegon Lumberjacks all season long is 92.5 FM WLAW "The Outlaw" as Bryan Fongers delivers the call beginning ten minutes prior to puck drop.
