HUNTSVILLE, AL - Tennessee Valley Vipers wide receiver/defensive back, Reggie Worthy, was named the af2 Offensive Player of the Week after the teams' 57-46 win over the Memphis Xplorers last week.
The former Auburn wide receiver rushed for 49 yards on seven carries and scored three touchdowns. He also caught six passes for 38 yards and three touchdowns. His 49 yards rushing broke the Vipers team record and the three rushing touchdowns tied a team record. His six total touchdowns also broke a team record.
Worthy leads the team with 123 yards rushing on 22 carries and has scored eight touchdowns. He is second on the team with 18 receptions for 206 yards and six touchdowns. He is currently tied for sixth in af2 in scoring with 84 points and is second in rushing with 24.6 yards per game.
He is just the second Viper in two and a half years to receive the honor from af2. Bryan Snyder received player of the Week after the Kickoff 2000 game in the inaugural season.
