af2 caps off 2006 with "Best" team awards

CHICAGO - The arenafootball2 league (af2) put the finishing touch on its 2006 season by handing out eight special awards, which recognize some of the outstanding work done by its member teams in various promotional categories. Notable honorees include the 2006 ArenaCup Champion Spokane Shock, who won for Best Website, and "Deizel" of the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz, who won Best Mascot. The Birmingham Showsteelers (official dance team of the Birmingham Steeldogs) also won Best Dance Team for the fifth straight season. The top three finishers in each category are highlighted below:
