CHICAGO - Quad City wide receiver/defensive back TIM DODGE, Memphis quarterback BRIAN JONES, and Florida wide receiver/defensive back LEVY BROWN have been named the U.S. Army Ironman, Schutt Offensive Player and ADT Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, for Week 13 of the 2006 season. In addition to these three awards, the recipient of the Cutters Catch of the Week Award goes to Tennessee Valley offensive specialist TORREY DAY. The Catch of the Week is a new honor that highlights the player who makes the best catch of the week.

U.S. ARMY IRONMAN OF THE WEEK

Dodge (5-10, 185, Iowa), in his fourth af2 season, made his presence felt on both sides of the ball in Quad City's 65-59 road win at Tennessee Valley in Week 13. The former Hawkeye was especially impressive on offense, catching seven passes for a game-high 149 yards and three touchdowns. He also scored one rushing touchdown on a two-yard carry in the third quarter. Defensively, Dodge had 2.5 tackles and a fumble recovery for a touchdown. This is the first Ironman of the Week honor of Dodge's career.

SCHUTT OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jones (6-2, 205, Toledo) commanded the Xplorers to a convincing 81-53 home win against South Georgia in Week 13. In his third season with Memphis, Jones was responsible for nine of the team's offensive touchdowns, throwing for eight and rushing for one. The former Rocket also completed over 90 percent of his passes (22-of-23) and finished with 281 yards passing. This is the fourth Offensive Player of the Week Award of Jones' career and his third this season. He currently ranks among the league leaders in a host of quarterback categories, including passer rating (1st - 129.2), completion percentage (2nd - 69.0) and total offensive touchdowns (2nd - 82).

ADT DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Brown (6-0, 190, Florida A&M), an af2 rookie, was a difference maker on defense for the Florida Firecats in their impressive 60-27 road win at South Division rival Birmingham in Week 13. The former Rattler had 5.0 tackles, one pass break up and a season-high two interceptions. Brown leads Florida and ranks tied for fourth in the af2 in interceptions with six on the season.
