
Aeros Shut out by Barons

HOUSTON --- The Houston Aeros saw a two-game winning streak come to an end as the Oklahoma City Barons scored six straight goals and defeated Houston 6-0 Sunday at Toyota Center in front of an overflow crowd of 10,715.
Darcy Kuemper made 23 saves for Houston, which dropped to 18-7-2-7 and trails Oklahoma City by three points in the AHL's West Division.
Antti Tyrvainen gave the Barons a 1-0 at 3:27 in the second period, and Philippe Cornet, Bryan Helmer and Ryan Keller scored power play goals in the second period to make it 4-0.
Magnus Paajarvi and Curtis Hamilton scored in the third. Yann Danis made 23 saves for Oklahoma City.
Houston hosts the Rockford IceHogs on Friday at 7:35 p.m. at Toyota Center.
BOMB DROPPINGS
The Aeros attendance of 10,715 was a season-high and the fourth sellout of the season... OKC's four power play goals were a season-high... The loss for Darcy Kuemper was his first in regulation at home.
