Aeros Season Ends with Loss in Game Six

HOUSTON --- Ryan Keller scored the deciding goal at the 9:09 mark of the third period to lead the Binghamton Senators to a 3-2 victory in Game 6 and a 4-2 Calder Cup Finals series win over the Houston Aeros in front of an Aeros AHL playoff record crowd of 10,125 on Tuesday night at Toyota Center.
Senators goaltender Robin Lehner earned the Jack A. Butterfield Trophy as the most valuable player of the 2011 Calder Cup Playoffs. He finished with 34 stops in the win. Matt Hackett suffered the loss and made 24 saves.
Binghamton's Roman Wick opened the scoring 2:28 into the middle period, but the Aeros answered with a pair of power play goals less than five minutes apart to take a 2-1 lead into the final stanza.
Houston's Jon DiSalvatore tied it with his seventh playoff goal at 6:37 and then J.M. Daoust gave the Aeros a 2-1 lead at 11:20. Daoust's goal was his third of the series and fourth in 11 playoff games.
Bobby Butler knotted the game at 2-2 with is 13th of the postseason, a power play marker, 3:26 into the third period.

Aeros goaltender Matt Hackett tied an AHL single playoff season record by appearing in his 24th game... Several Aeros players set franchise records by playing in their 24th postseason game... The Aeros played 105 total games since the start of the 2010-11 season, a franchise record.
