Milwaukee Admirals News Release
San Antonia, TX-Former Admirals goalie Dov Grumet-Morris stopped 25 shots to lead the San Antonio Rampage over the Milwaukee Admirals Saturday night 1-0.
The Admirals outshot San Antonio 10-3 in the third period, but Grumet-Morris turned aside each shot.
San Antonio's Jared Gomes scored the only goal of the game, although it took a while to decide if he did score. Gomes received a pass in the slot from Eric Selleck and shot a wrister that bounced off the left post and the right post before bouncing into the left circle. Milwaukee defenseman Mike Moore cleared the puck into the seats to stop play. Referee Graham Skilliter used video replay to confirm Gomes shot did cross the goal line and awarded San Antonio the lead at 10:45 of the first period.
Neither team had much going in the second period. San Antonio totaled seven shots on goal in the second while Milwaukee had six.
The Admirals continue a four-game road trip Sunday night in Houston against the Aeros. Their next home contest will be on October 31st against the Charlotte Checkers.
