Lake Michigan Admirals News Release

St. Joseph, MI. - There was a celebration in "The House of Noise"

at Lake Michigan Catholic as the Lake Michigan Admirals erased

an eleven point deficit to beat Scranton 99-96 on Saturday night.

The revamped Admirals that took Rochester to the wire Thursday,

used rebounding and key foul shooting to secure their first victory.

The Scranton loss also clinched the division title for Rochester.

"This was a group effort tonight. Our goal was to get the big men

in foul trouble by going to the basket. As the fourth quarter

progressed, so did our intensity," said Admirals assistant

coach "Ace" Jackson.

Tyc Snow's three pointer with 45 seconds left ignited the

crowd, and the Admirals. It was a new game at 95.

Both teams exchanged foul shot before Colby Batiste

dropped two at the line. The Steamers made one of two

when Batiste fouled out with 16 seconds left.

Ryan Young and Snow each made one of two before

Tyler Bullock's desperation shot at the buzzer went in

and out for Scranton (5-7).

Snow led five Admirals in double figures with 18 points.

Batiste had a double double with 14 points and 13 rebounds.

Young had 13 and newcomers Onyie Onunaku 11 and

Jason Underwood 10.

Chris Commons led Scranton with 19, followed by

Darrion Griffin 17, Matt Gorman 13, Vince Simpson 12

and Nemanja Jokie with 11. Gorman also recorded a

double double, catching 10 rebounds.

Lake Michigan and Scranton play again Sunday at

Benton Harbor's Farnum Gymnasium at 3:00pm.
