
Admirals Cruise 129-110 Over NWI Stars

Benton Harbor, MI - The Lake Michigan Admirals (2-0) cruised to a 129-110 victory over the Northwest Indiana Stars in the 1st round of the $15,000 1st place prize PBL preseason tournament at Farnum Gymnasium in front of a crowd of approximately 800, in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
Benton Harbor native Rodney Alexander led all Admirals with 21 points. Odgra Bobo added 20 points as the duo put on a slam dunk exhibition.
The Admirals used a balanced scoring attack with five players in double figures. Shagari Alleyne, the Admirals 7'3" center had 10 points and five blocked shots.
"Shagari had a great game in the post. Most of his points were dunks and that's what we wanted," stated Head Coach Che' Eddie.
The Stars put on a scoring attack led by Zach Biesch, who ended up with 36 points, including five three pointers, led all scores. Teammate Howard Little from Valporaiso University, added 21 points.
Next game for the Admirals is the championship game which is on December 10th at 6:00pm at Lake Michigan Catholic. Also, NWI will play the winner of the Indiana Diesels/Dayton Airstrikers game at 3:00pm at Lake Michigan Catholic. For more information go to www.lakemichiganadmirals.com.
