Lake Michigan Admirals News Release

The Lake Michigan Admirals continued their run to the playoffs Saturday night when they hosted Central Division and in-state rivals the Detroit Hoops at Lake Michigan Catholic High School. The first quarter showed just how close the rivalry has become with a 27-26 lead for Detroit. The second quarter however, the Admirals came out firing and never looked back, having at least a 15 point lead for the rest of the game. Captain Dominick Melton had a game high 33 points to go with 10 assists and 6 assists. "I've been looking forward to this game for about a month now. We had a point to prove that we're the team to beat in the North Central, and I think we proved that tonight." Melton said after the game. Co-captain Anthony Slater was another talking point of the crowd of approximately 550, recording 15 assists and 8 steals while 8 Admirals scored in double figures. The Admirals left right after the game to travel to play out of division foes the Kentucky Bisons in Owensboro, KY on Sunday.
