
Acadiana Edges East Texas After Ryan May's Strong Performance

The Acadiana Cane Cutters defeated the East Texas Pump Jacks by a score of 3-0 in a rain-shortened game one of their two game series.
The Cane Cutters scored all 3 of their runs in the 5th inning. Alex Tucker (Nicholls State) and Kennon Menard (Southeastern) each hit singles and Tucker scored on a wild pitch. Connor Barron (Southern Miss) stepped in the box a launched a huge 2 run home run that cleared the left field fence.
TCL All-Star Ryan May (LSU) started on the mound for the Cane Cutters and threw a strong 6 innings while giving just 3 hits and no runs. He struck out 4 Pump Jacks.
All-Star Connor Barron led the Acadiana offense going 2-3 with a homerun, 2 RBIs, and a run scored. Cameron Dishon (Ole Miss) also had a good game going 2-3 with a stolen base.
Ryan May got the win for the Cane Cutters Austin Hilton got the loss for the East Texas Pump Jacks. The Acadiana Cane Cutters are 7-4 in the 2nd half and 21-17 overall.
The Cane Cutters will finish their 4-game home stand Friday night against the East Texas Pump Jacks. It is Lyle Mouton Bobble Head Night, powered by Nursing Specialties, Inc. The first 400 fans with purchased tickets will get a Mouton bobble head doll, and Mouton will also be in attendance to sign autographs.
