Western New York Flash News Release

ELMA, N.Y. - Western New York Flash defender Abby Dahlkemper has been named to the U.S. U23 Women's National Team roster for its upcoming camp in Carson, California, from Jan. 18-25.

In addition, Dahlkemper has been honored by Adelaide United, where she has been playing on loan for the offseason.

After her rookie season in the NWSL, Dahlkemper joined Adelaide of the Westfield W-League in Australia, and was recently named Player of the Year and Players' Player.

Dahlkemper instantly became a pivotal acquisition for the Lady Reds, playing every minute of the W-League season. The defender totaled five goals, ending the season with a four-game scoring streak including a two-goal performance on December 18.

With Adelaide's W-League season at a close, Dahlkemper next heads to the U.S. Soccer National Training Center for the U.S. U23 WNT camp. There, she will be joined by two of the Flash's recent 2016 NWSL College Draft picks Mallory Weber and Makenzy Doniak.

The camp will conclude with a match against the full women's national team from the Republic of Ireland on Jan. 25 at the U.S. Soccer NTC at 2 p.m. ET.
