ABALiveTalk to feature ABA tryout camps

June 2, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Los Angeles, CA. Derrick Pearson, host of ABALIVETALK, will focus on past and future ABA team tryout camps and early signings on the one weekly show that can be heard at www.abalive.com at 3pm est on Saturday afternoon. According to Pearson, "The off season is time for positive movement for teams and players heading into the 2006-2007 season. There have been several excellent tryout camps already, players are being signed for veterans camps, and there are several additional tryout camps scheduled. The ABA anticipates having over 700 players this season - the opportunities to play professional basketball in a great league like the ABA are better than ever. Opportunity is the key word - and that's the ABA."

The show will also include emails from ABA fans and supporters as well as the weekly "Ask the CEO" segment that includes emails to Joe Newman, ABA CEO. ABALIVETALK has grown steadily in popularity since its inception because of the inside information available to Derrick Pearson exclusively for the show. To email Ask the CEO, write joenewman@abalive.com or to email the show, use abalivetalk@aol.com.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
