ABA thanks sports web sites

Published on October 25, 2006 under American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) says "Thank You" to some outstanding sports web sites that have shown such great support for professional basketball leagues other than the NBA - including the ABA. "It is great to know that there are people who recognize that great basketball exists outside the NBA, NCAA and international leagues. And if it wasn't for organizations like Pro Basketball News, OurSports Central, Minor League News, Dream Team Sports, Hoops World, SI and others, we would not have as much fan interest as we do," said Joe Newman, ABA CEO.

"While everything posted isn't always good, in real life, everything isn't always good. But these web sites treat us as if we are very important and go out of their way to keep basketball fans appraised of the exciting things that happen in our leagues. Our goal is to provide a place to play for hundreds of players, a place to coach for hundreds of coaches, and a place to ref for hundreds of officials - and of course, to provide top quality, exciting professional basketball at affordable prices," Newman added. "So, as we get ready for our season, we just wanted to say - "Thank You."
