ABA Salutes Fisher House

May 29, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Indianapolis, IN. ABA Salute pays tribute to The Fisher House, a unique private-public partnership that supports America's military in their time of need. The program recognizes the special sacrifices of our men and women in uniform and the hardships of military service by meeting a humanitarian need beyond that normally provided by the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs.

Fisher House has introduced a new program - Frequent Flyers Can Be Heroes - which makes it possible for citizens to donate their frequent flyer models to be used for travel by the military and its families. If you have Frequent Flyer miles, please contact info@fisherhouse.org or visit www.fisherhouse.org for details on how you can become a Frequent Flyer Hero.

ABA Salute is the ABA's way also of paying tribute to our military and its families by raising money for donations for worthy causes. For more information, visit www.abasalute.com or www.abalive.com.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
