Rochester RazorSharks News Release
(Rochester, New York)...The defending American Basketball Association champion Rochester RazorSharks and the Tall Club of Rochester, New York have teamed up to challenge the Baltimore Tall Club and the Maryland Nighthawks to a friendly wager for their ABA game on February 22 at Rochester's Blue Cross Arena. The Rochester Tall Club is putting up five pounds of famous Zweigle's white (pork) hot dogs against five pounds of Baltimore's legendary crab cakes.
The Nighthawks feature 7'9" center Sun Ming Ming, the tallest professional basketball player in the world. Ming has been averaging 7.5 points, three rebounds and four blocked shots per game since he signed with Maryland on January 31.
"I officially issued a friendly challenge to our counterparts in Maryland," said Bill Moehle (pronounced MAY-lee), President, Tall Club of Rochester. "It will be a tough game against Sun Ming Ming, but I know our RazorShark tall guys will beat their tall guys."
The Tall Club of Rochester is sponsoring a special ticket offer for all men 6'3" and over and all women 5'11" and over for the February 22 RazorSharks-Maryland game - if they present their driver's license at the Blue Cross Arena Box Office to prove they are within the ticket special limits, they will receive a $9.50 general admission ticket for $5.25.
