
ABA prepares for web show debut

Indianapolis, IN- The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced the final preparations of its hour long weekly talk show, "ABA Live Talk" debuting July 1st at 3pm. The show can be heard at www.abalive.com and it will feature the "who's who" of the ABA. The program will be hosted by Derrick Pearson and will be aired Fridays at 3pm EST throughout the summer and into the 2005-2006 season.
The debut program will have insight from ABA CEO Joe Newman; Director of Officials Tom Chichester and new Los Angeles Aftershock owner Shawn Blattenberger. Also, new Charlotte Krunk owner R. Duane Hughes will check in with the goings on in North Carolina and there will be tryout reports and player updates from around the league. Jared Bronson from World Net Services will give information on web broadcast opportunities for teams that want to have their games available to their fans for the 2005-2006 season.
Pearson has been involved in sports reporting in television, radio and print media. He has covered the NFL, NBA, NHL, ABA and NCAA in Washington, DC, Charlotte and Salt Lake City. He was host of the popular television show, "Carolina Blitz," a Carolina Panthers show in Charlotte and was a regular panelist on the long running "Redskins Magazine" television show in Washington DC. Pearson was recently the host of "The Starting Lineup," a radio sports talk show in Salt Lake City with former ABA All-Star Ron Boone and was the media director and play by play voice of the Utah Snowbears.
