June 20, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Atlanta, GA. Tausche, Inc., the Atlanta-based sports branding and marketing communications company, has been retained by Sports Franchise Acquisition Corp (SFAC) of Alexandria, Virginia to help launch their four new American Basketball Association (ABA) teams.
Tausche will provide brand development for SFAC's teams in Baltimore, Delaware, Long Island and Montreal, including the teams' names, colors, logos, uniforms and apparal. "We are excited to be involved with a quality company like SFAC which recognizes the marketplace opportunities the ABA affords," said Kurt Tausche, President and Creative Director.
"Tausche's creativity and sports branding experience will give us the momentum we'll need to successfully launch our teams," added Serena Locker-Coles, SFAC partner and co-owner. "We believe our fans will really respond to their ideas and their style."
The various SFAC teams are scheduled to be launched in their respective markets this summer and will begin the 2005-2006 season in November. For more information, contact Kurt Tausche at 404 325 9695, fax 404 325 9675, cell 404 317 9685 or email ktuasche@comcast.net or visit www.abalive.com.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
