ABA Entertainment's Shooting Starz/Starz in Motion unveils new website
Published on March 9, 2006 under American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Indianapolis, IN. Angela Rizzi, ABA VP of Entertainment, pictured above with ABA Director of Officials, Tom Chichester, announced today that a new website for Shooting Starz/Starz in Motion has been unveiled. The new site, www.starzinmotion.com, will contain all the information on the Shooting Starz competition which will be launched during The Great 8 ABA Championship Playoffs in Rochester, NY from March 22-26. The site will provide the most up-to-date information throughout the entire competition, including the rules, entry information, schedule of cities, featured artists and more.
Due to an overwhelming request, and because of the tremendous success of younger talent on American Idol, the Shooting Starz applicant age has been lowered to the age of 16 from 18. According to Ms. Rizzi, "We are looking for talented singers and groups to compete in our national search. Contestants will have the opportunity to audition in front of professionals in the entertainment industry. Those selected from each audition will have the chance to perform in front of large audiences at the ABA Championship and other sporting events over the next six months, all in hopes of making it to the Final Competition where the winner will get a prize package including a professionally produced song, a showcase in front of industry executives and the opportunity to perform at ABA games throughout the 2006-2007 season."
Angela and Tom recently attended the final Rochester game of the season at The Blue Cross Arena as they began making plans for the upcoming tournament that will feature eight ABA teams in the sudden death playoffs that begin this weekend.
