ABA Announces second referee recruitment session
Published on May 14, 2005 under American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Rochester, NY. Tom Chichester, ABA Director of Officials, today announced that there would be a Referee Recruitment Session for the Rochester and Buffalo New York region on Saturday, May 28th. The session will be held at the St. John Fisher College Sports Complex located in Rochester, New York. The recruitment session will be held in conjunction with the new ABA Rochester RazorSharks open player tryout camp that will be held that weekend.
Chichester stated, "With new teams scheduled to play in Buffalo, Rochester, NE Pennsylvania, New Jersey and other surrounding areas, this will be a great opportunity for officials within this region that have been looking for a chance to work at this level of basketball. And we need quite a few new officials in this rapidly growing league."
For more information, please contact Tom Chichester at tcrefaba@frontiernet.net. Enrollment will be limited at this St. John Fisher location, so please act promptly if you are interest. Or visit www.abalive.com.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
