ABA announces league schedule
Published on October 15, 2004 under American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Indianapolis, IN. Ricardo Richardson, ABA Executive Vice President, today announced the schedule of games for the upcoming season. According to Richardson, "Putting this schedule together was not easy - 37 teams in three countries, 3 divisions - over 650 games. But we got it done though we anticipate a few minor changes in the next couple of weeks due to television commitments, travel situations, and a desire to do a little "inter-divisional play." So, we'll ask fans to keep close contact with their teams. And we will announce any changes."
Ricardson added, "We're posting a composite schedule on the ABA website (www.abalive.com) that will include the game number, the date, the day, the division, visitor vs. home, the time, the time zone and the box score. It should be easy enough for fans to follow. And we encourage fans to check the websites of their favorite teams also."
He concluded, "In the next few days, we'll be posting our Gettix program that will make it possible to buy tickets via the website for all teams and for all games easily, quickly, and inexpensively - a great system. It's another fan friendly ABA program."
