Published on October 22, 2005 under American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
New York, NY. StarInvest Group, Inc. (STIV.OB) today announced it has reserved Brooklyn, NY for an ABA expansion team to begin playing in November, 2006. Ike Sutton, CEO of StarInvest commented, "This opportunity enables our company to build a brand, be involved in the sports and entertainment industry and will bring a pro basketball team to 2,500,000 Brooklyn fans."
Joe Newman, ABA CEO, added, "We are extremely pleased to have Mr. Sutton and his company as part of the ABA. We really think that the citizens of Brooklyn will take to the team with its uptempo style of play, its fan-friendly approach and affordable prices. Actually, we never understood why the Brooklyn Dodgers left Brooklyn; their fans were legend - loyal and dedicated. While we can't replace the "Bums," we can certainly create a new era of professional sports in this great NY borough."
