Snohomish County Explosion News Release
Everett, WA- The Explosion, in front of 2,065, fans finished the regular season with a 133-119 win over the visiting Seattle Mountaineers. Everett went 4-0 in the season series and this game looked like the other three in the end.
Everett had already clinched the division title with a win over Seattle on Sunday but this game still had fireworks for both teams. Rashaad Powell paced the Explosion with 22 points in the win. Jamaal Miller continues to shine since his return to the lineup, adding 21 points for Everett. Lemar Gayle led all scorers with a 26 point effort for the Mountaineers, but was sent to the bench in the fourth quarter after receiving his second techinical foul in the game.
The Explosion earned the #2 seed in the West Bracket of the IBL playoffs with a 16-4 record. Everett will now go to Portland to face the Vancouver Volcanoes in first round playoff action on Friday, June 29th night at Warner Pacific College. Tip off is scheduled for 6:15 pm.
