Sounders Face Defending All Nations Cup Champions Tonight!

The Seattle Sounders will face the 2006 All Nations Cup Champions, Russia at 7:30 PM Wednesday night at the Starfire Sports Entertainment Complex. Tickets to the match are $10 and are available at the gate. All Proceeds go to benefit Sister Communities, the non-profit organization which organizes the All Nations Cup.

The All Nations Cup is an annual tournament featuring players from Seattle's recreational soccer leagues, divided top represent their countries of origin. This year's tournament runs from July 13th through July 29th.

Seattle faces Montreal at Qwest Field Saturday Night

Montreal has lost two its first two matches of the Season against Portland and Charleston coming into its Northwest trip.

The Seattle Sounders will look to avenge their early season 2-0 defeat suffered at the hands of the Montreal Impact on May 20th when the two teams face off at Qwest Field, 7 PM Saturday night.

The Impact have come to the Northwest looking to get back to their winning ways after suffering their first two losses of the season in matches against Portland and Charleston. Their trip begins Thursday night against the Timbers at PGE Park in Portland before the head North for the Saturday night meeting with Seattle.

The Sounders have brought seven of a possible nine points back from a difficult South East themed stretch of road trips that saw them defeat Charleston and Carolina and also earn a draw against Atlanta. The team's good run of form stretches back to the May 23rd match against Carolina at Qwest Field. They are unbeaten in five matches, recording four wins and one draw.

Sounders vs Timbers, Winner Take All

The winner of Tuesday's match will likely host an MLS club in the third round.

The Seattle Sounders face the Portland Timbers in the Second round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on June 26, 7 PM at Starfire Sports Entertainment Complex.

The match promises to be a thrilling chapter in the I-5 rivalry that dates back to the North American Soccer League of the late seventies, with the winner going on to host a third round match against CD Chivas USA from Major League Soccer (MLS) and the loser exiting the tournament.
