Sioux Falls Storm News Release
The Sioux Falls Storm of United Indoor Football (UIF) is pleased to announce the "Kurtiss Riggs Show" brought to you by Dick's East 10th Street Vacuum on AM 1230 KWSN will now start 15 minutes earlier. The show will now start at 5:45 PM and end at 6:45 PM, due to the Sioux Falls Canaries baseball, which is also aired on AM 1230 KWSN and having their pre-game starting at 6:45 PM. This week, listen in as the voice of the Storm, Rich Roste, discusses this week's game plan with Storm Head Coach, Kurtiss Riggs. Riggs will talk about this week's upcoming game against the Lexington Horsemen, and future games as the Storm tries to position themselves as one of the top teams in the play-offs. Special guests on this week's show will be running back, Jerry Davis. Davis, who has been out with a shoulder injury for 4 games, will be back in the lineup this weekend in Lexington. Jerry is currently leading the Storm in rushing, with 255 yards and ten touchdowns. Also in the studio will be the Storm's new defensive coordinator, Mike Aldrich. Aldrich was a former Head Coach for the Storm in 2001 and 2002, and has returned to take over for Brian Hermanson, who left to take over as Head Coach for Washington High School. Ryan Brink, head trainer for the Storm, will also join the crew in studio to talk about his position with the Storm and his full time job as an employee at the Orthopedic Institute.
The Storm will travel to Lexington, KY this Saturday, June 11, 2005, to battle the Horsemen for the second time this season. The Storm (7-3) beat Lexington in the Storm's home opener and "championship re-match" in the first meeting, 52-24. Lexington is now 6-4 and on top of the South Division; Sioux Falls still sits in second place in the North Division, behind the 8-2 Sioux City Bandits. The Storm's next home game will not be until June 25, 2005, when they take on the Bandits. The game will be themed "Mullet Night" with Storm jersey coozies as the give-a-way. Individual tickets are on sale now at the Arena box office, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or any Ticketmaster location.
