EAST HARTFORD, CT - May 6, 2011 - The Hartford Colonials have signed guard Kurt Quarterman to a contract for the 2011 United Football League season. Terms of the deal are not disclosed.
The Colonials selected Quarterman (6-5, 340) in the second round of the UFL Draft on May 2. The former Louisville offensive lineman was originally signed as a free agent by the Atlanta Falcons in 2007 and claimed off waivers by the New York Giants in June 2008. He has also been on practice squads with the Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions.
